I just got enlightened, by a certain individual's blog.

I'm in an elite school and yes, it's stressful, it's pressurizing, it isn't as elite as you'd think it is but we should've been prepared, no?

After all, it is Elite with a capital E.

Amongst all my complaints and ranting and discontent with my school life, I never regretted. I never regretted scoring A's for my PSLE, I never regretted applying for NUS High School, failing twice but still happy at the thought of entering it, although I was pretty much "the last resort".

I may not be the smartest or most hardworking. I may not be the most athletic (which isn't that athletic) or the most outgoing. I may not be the prettiest or the one who gets the most attention (in a good way) but I have doubt learnt a lot.

I have learnt that the only people you can really rely on is yourself and ONE true friend.

I have learnt that teachers don't always play fair.

I have learnt that no matter how many A's you get, you can never be contented.

On the contrary, no matter how many F's you get, you can not give up.

So what if people despise you? So what if people think you are a disgrace to the school?

What matters most is how you view yourself.

Let this be a motivation, the motivation to strive.

They despise you? Show them you're not some ordinary neighborhood (no offense) kid, not some slacker who only leeches on others hard work. Show them you're some one who is willing to put in the effort, no matter how hard it may be. Make them eat their words, make them think twice before criticizing you. That's the kind of person we need to turn into.

A person that you can believe in. A person that you, no matter what, will be proud of. A person that only constantly improves and meet expectations but always with morales and principles.

And with this, I set my goal that will be achieved in a few months' time.

A goal that only I know because I'm going to use my own capabilities to achieve it.

Independent, I will be and YOU will eat up your words, eat up whatever you said about me.

Also, I am going to surpass you. Please re-read it again and enter that in your head.

You're not dragging me down anymore because I deserve more than that.

NUS High School?

Dam right.

A school that nurtures people to think independently and creates experiences that no one will ever forget in their whole life. ;)

man, happy or sad, I can't decide.

I want to be happy but like any other year, it's just a day I don't want to come, to even exist.

Everyone's celebrating it but here I am, mourning my shit off because... I'm unwanted (?)

But maybe it's time I start being thankful for Valentine's day.

I might not have a special someone to celebrate it with, I might not have a special someone to go "Happy V'day, my precious baby!" but I have myself, a person I love very much, a person I love more than anyone.

I still look at those couples in envy but at least I know the wait will be worth it, at least I hope it's like that.

Don't we all love exams?

They bring out the best of us don't they? The occasional shouting of f*cks and pulling of hair, things that you don't see us doing during typical school.

Exams are a test of our knowledge, a test of our AQ, a test of our endurance. Exams can make one go crazy and suicidal at times, make one smile and realize that friends are always the best company.

Maybe if we continue thinking like that, we might actually be able to ace our exams. Make exams seem happier.

Let me begin my post with a little story.

It was in the evening, about 7.30 pm, X and Jean were walking through this underpass in order to get to the bus stop. This underpass had a lot of lizards on the wall and X was scared of the lizards.

X stood at the entrance and wouldn't walk past the lizards so Jean had no choice but to jump around like a crazy retard to chase away the lizards.

X ran cross the underpass when it was cleared.

Disclaimer: X is a male athlete in Track and Field and isn't scared of anything but lizards, weirdo.

Academics? To prove myself? Or am I really just studying because well, it's been hammered into our head: Study or you'll fail miserably in life.

I want to excel in what I like, and that's.. music, graphics but I never had the chance to actually go and do it. I never really had much time to learn. Studies. Studies. Studies.

That's what goes through my mind all day. Study Jean, don't even think about going to PS, don't even think about touching your awesome guitar.

Story time girls :)

One fine day, Jean was given the job of an intern to be the stylist of SNSD. On her first day of work, she was very busy and was not able to cope with everybody's request. A member, Mary*, got so pissed with Jean because Jean could not attend to her, she gave Jean a really harsh scolding. Jean hated Mary ever since, hated Mary for not being able to understand.

When Jean went out of the building to get some fresh air, she bumped into a guy walking out of a cafe, holding on to a cup of hot coffee, and having her new white shirt stained.

"Aish, chinjah.." He said frustratingly and he walked away, as if nothing happened.
"Ya, YA!" Jean shouted, furious at him for not apologizing.

He only turned around after a while, and looking pissed, shouted an apology. Unfaltered by his insincerity, she raised her head and realized who he was.. Jung Yun-ho from DBSK. Shocked by his attitude, she wanted to scold him right back but he had walked away.

"Ugh, unlucky day," she mumbled to herself.

She stomped her way back, angry, frustrated and disappointed. The first thing she heard was not the best too: Ya!! Where's my clothes?! Can you please hurry up!? Credits to Mary. Jean sighed and continued running around the room and later, building. She could not afford to screw up her first day of internship. When everything was over, she sat on the bench in the corridor, huffing and swearing to herself.

"Ya, are you crazy?" A familar voice broke the silence.

She wanted to shout "Ka!" but resisted when she realized who it was.

What we like to call "robbing" or more like "falling for looks."

I think people shouldn't stereotype fangirls/boys.

(Majority being girls so I'm sticking to that.)

We (yes, I'm a fangirl, beat that) can tell right from wrong, can tell from talented to useless. I mean, seriously, just because one or two are totally blind doesn't mean that the rest are.

Have you ever went to seriously listen to their songs? Watch their interviews, get to know them better before you stereotype the fans they have? Yeah, we pay for their merchandise, we give them money and whether they treat us how we treat them or not, it doesn't matter.

They deserve their fans. They earned the many thousands of fans they currently have, and more.

They, despite their good looks that attract 50% of their fans, have great vocals, great personalities (it might look like it's a screen personality, but I wouldn't mind just living in an illusion). You stereotype the stars by what? Their nationalities? Their looks? That's why you don't want to listen?

You're the unreasonable one here.

They are not good looking, they might look gay sometimes but I don't mind because so long as I know why I'm in love with them as a fan, I'm satisfied.

It's just to everyone: Before you stereotype a typical fangirl, figure out the main reason why she's in love with them then find out if she's more than who you think she is.

And this does not just apply to Korean idols fangirls, it's just a nationality.

Because it is with the help of friends that we overcome the worst and share the best.

Hmm, not much to say.
Yesterday went down to Rania's house.. to.. uhm.. camwhore?!
LOL!
Her webcam was so cool, it was on a tripod and we did all sorta funny weird stuff, 50 pictures FTW.
The above is one of the many, but the only one photoshopped (I did not edit the faces okay! All I did was add some extra darkening since it was too light and textures and words).
So.. I rushed down to tuition afterwards -sigh-

I woke up late @_@ and after postponing the time, was still late.

then walked around orchard to find jungmin's mom a present.
We walked into LV -cough-, and was super funny!!

Hahaha, so in anycase, we caught Transformers 2 : Revenge of the Fallen.
NICE!
There's not too much plot going along and there's always suspense and action-filled. (so much better than Fast&Furious 4)
Definitely recommend.

Crazy baby and her skating idea!
Now my butt hurts like mad, and yesterday too (had to spend 2 hours trying to find a position to sleep in so as to not hurt my butt)

But it was fun hahaha! Baby was so cute! :D

We went to eat slurps+scoops first then found our way to PP and baby took out her almighty phone typed-out directory on how to get to ECP from PP. Before she did that, I thought that she lost her way (since she said she knew the way) and had to ask people, grr. So yeah, saw shane but I had my hand stuck in my bag to even wave so I did the manly way of saying "Hi", zzz.

After skating/cycling we rushed to DTE but realized the movies that I want to watch, Baby watched already. -kills baby- so we went to eat at NYNY, depressssssion.

DEPRESSION STATE.

Zomg, baby didn't want to take photos so I only took one about "God descending from above" but they are, well, in my phone, HAHAHA!

movie-d with Rania(L) today.

I don't get why they rate the movie so low when it's actually rather nice (besides the fact that DBSK was featured and all, since that's just a small plus point)
But I think more than 50% of the audience were DBSK fans =.=
Though the storyline was not as defined as other movies, it definitely is inspirational and it's one of the very very few 2 hour movies that actually seem like 1 hour.
I'm serious.

The female lead is PRETTY -thumbs up-
And so is the male lead (well, he's quite good-looking for a jap guy :o)

I'd rate it 4.5 stars.
Definitely worth the money, in my opinion :)

There he stood, like a shy living statue, awaiting his future.
He wouldn't budge, he couldn't care for to him it was merely just a game.
Oh no, there wasn't a dice, nor a board, nor any money involved.
Like how a schoolboy would, he blushed as if it was normal and hid his hideous face.

His friends never understood him, not for a single bit.
All he needed was a card up his sleeve to master what we call, this game.
He did not cheat, he did not violate, nor brought any money along.
Like how a schoolboy would, he blushed and raised his head and smiled, a charming smile.

It was a game with no rules.
It was a game that anyone can play.
It was a game, a disastrous game.
It was a game that he decided to play.

It was rather simple to win, in fact a little too simple.
All he needed to do was to flash that card, and he'd win, a very easy win.
Unaware of the consequences, he continued, each time a different victim.
No one seem to knew what it was as if it was simply magic.

They'd get blinded by the very light that shone, from him.
Before walking towards it naively, unconsciously.
The path would take months to travel, bringing with it sore feet and teary eyes.
But that did not falter them as they continued to travel, hypnotized.

Slash!
Came the first wound by an unknown object but they continued, blood oozing.
Bang!
Came the second shot, the light piercing right into their very eyes, torturing them from within.

The plain white floor was stained with fresh red, bright, glistening with the light.
When they finally reach their destination, they were worn out.
Sucked out of their blood, worned out by their feet, even the moisture was gone.
They smiled, foolishly at this guy standing infront of them.

He wasn't good-looking, neither was he rich.
He wasn't there when they needed him, neither did he care.
All he did was smile, and act, with his fantabulous acting skills.
All they cared was about him, just like how his spell worked out.

Slash!
Came the third wound so hard and fast that they collapsed, almost immediately.
Bang!
Came the last and final shot, sending them down to eternal darkness,
Where they couldn't see anything else, anymore.

And there and then, the game ended.
With a loud boom, sparks flew and his friends knew it was time to celebrate.
For what, they never knew.
All the knew was that he won again, and they could get free drinks.

Yo, it's been three days :)
Hahaha, so anyway, went over to vivo yesterday with Rania (L) and William.
Kinda fun xP

o Walked ONE BIG ROUND just to find GV then walked over to GV, where we met our best friends:
This doll :D:D (apparently, someone disfigured the poor doll, it looks hideous @_@)
and a panda (refer to Rania's blog! The roses were courtesy of me)

o Instead of walking the path of illumination to find World of SPORTS, we walked the path of realization which includes walking around harborfront centre, walking back to Vivo and then back to harborfront centre -.-
the reason?
-cough- directory -cough-
first we thought we misread world of GOLF as world of Sports cos vivo had world of golf -.-
then we realized we didn't read the bottom part which says : Harborfront centre (and we thought it was Vivo, holy !@#@!#!@)

but nevertheless, we found it and got Rania (L), her spalding tack-soft bball!
hehe.

did i mention the window shopping on the way?

o I bought 2 pairs of earrings and 2 nail polishes and a top coat (at last), whee, pretty nails!!

o Went down to B&J to treat Rania (L) since she was feeling sad :(

omg, choc galore.
and we finished it like, within half an hour, power.

I've always imagined my life as a drama serial.
You know, those that always have sad moments then happy then sad.
In fact, mine's more of a sad, dreary, emotional yet fast-paced one.
One that never ends.

I've been blanking out ALOT these few days, and I started to backtrack and find my problems.

Everytime I feel like ending it all, my friends will always wipe away those tears that fall and pull me back up onto my feet again and wrap me with their warm, big wings and smile, an infectious smile.
Then, you take it for granted and lose them all. You lose their trust, you lose their faith, and most importantly, you lose the friendship, the very close friendship that you can never gain back.
You turn into a loner because there's no one else there to pick you up from the rubbles, there's no one else who understands you deep in and you have to find a way out.

I mean, mine isn't a lovey-dovey drama serial (even if it was, I won't put it on my blog for everybody to read), but one of continual self-improvement.
I mean, my life sure isn't any fairytale.
I don't have a Prince Charming fetching me and bringing me to his big majestic castle and marry me and make me a Queen or anything. If you get what I mean.
I don't like to think of my life as reality, no matter how real and scary it is. At least as a drama serial, I know that I am the director, there are no scripts but instead, how I'm going to direct this show to a happy ending.
It's not something as simple as 1, 2, 3 since all the actors/actresses have to co-operate and everything and that's what makes it a challenge, a challange for me and only myself to blame should anything go wrong.
Life isn't reality, neither is it pre-destined. It's up to you to decide your own fate.
And I've learnt that through hardships, through past experiences and I'm definitely not going to screw the rest of my life up.
